We do get that request from time to time. Those people generally tip $20 or so, so I’m fine to park it close then.

Or I could park at a normal spot and take her on a “romantic walk” through the scenic streets while saving that cash for other things. All while seeming like I planned the night to be super sweet.

I never know is it better to tip the guy taking your car or the guy retrieving it? Do you tip both? I usually tip the guy retrieving it but will sometimes tip both as it's almost never the same person.

At least for where I am the tips get split, so it doesnt really matter. But the person getting the door is generally the most common way of giving a tip.

Okay I see. Usually when I arrive somewhere I get out the car on my own and leave the keys in the car but when getting my car the valet has opened the car for me basically and that's when I hand him the tip.

Depends on where you are working. Tip is when ever you want but some people want payment when you drop off other want it when you are leaving.
